Advisory Services to Senegalese Authorities for Youth Reintegration
Following the evaluation of a European Union–financed project implemented by the Government of Senegal, Dropstone was engaged to provide backstopping support for the reintegration of vulnerable youth from the Casamance region through professional training.
Building on the evaluation findings, Dropstone supported the Government of Senegal in strengthening the relevance, quality, and sustainability of reintegration measures targeting at-risk youth. The assignment focused on enhancing employability, fostering entrepreneurship, and improving linkages between training systems and local economic opportunities.
Dropstone’s services included the development of a tailored training curriculum, the provision of professional and vocational training, and the identification of Public–Private Partnerships to improve labour market integration. In addition, Dropstone delivered coaching for business development and entrepreneurship initiatives and designed practical tools to support programme monitoring and results tracking.
This engagement contributed to more coherent, market-oriented reintegration pathways and strengthened institutional capacities for youth-focused employment programmes in fragile and post-conflict contexts.
